Perform, evaluate and monitor the performance of routine and specialized test procedures using manual and/or instrumental techniques in accordance with established protocols. Prepare standards, controls, solutions, and reagents required for testing. Determine suitability of specimens for analysis. Perform primary review of patient results. Identify unusual and/or discrepant values and initiates appropriate follow-up procedures to verify results. Correlate data with other laboratory findings and/or patient history to ensure timely reporting of patient results to requesting clinicians.
