How we measure pay

Postings. 19,197 roles from 144 employers that published a pay range, collected October 15, 2026. We use the midpoint of the range, converted to an hourly rate (annual pay divided by 2,080 hours).

Wage offers in federal filings. Employers that sponsor foreign-born clinicians report the wage they offer in filings with the U.S. Department of Labor (PERM labor certifications and LCAs). We use certified filings decided July 2025 – June 2026, count each distinct offer once and drop managers, residents and trainees. They are employer-reported wage offers, not job postings, and they are labeled everywhere they appear.

Common questions

Where does the salary data come from?

From pay ranges employers published on 19,197 open roles, collected October 15, 2026, and from employer-reported wage offers in federal filings with the U.S. Department of Labor. Each figure says which source it uses.

Are these averages or medians?

Medians. Half of the figures are above and half below, so a few very high or low ranges do not pull the number around.

Why do two sources differ for the same profession?

Postings show what employers advertise for open roles. Wage offers in filings show what employers committed to for specific hires, often at a different time and mix of employers, so the two measure different things.

Is this the pay I will get?

It shows what the market offers. Your pay depends on your experience, shift, specialty, location and the final offer. Your free Shift Report lists pay at named employers near you.

How often is it updated?

Postings are collected on a schedule and the date is on every page, last October 15, 2026. Federal filings are added as the Department of Labor releases quarterly data.
