Interview patients to assess for drug allergies and past adverse medication reactions. Document pharmaceutical care activities in the medical record as appropriate. Oversee technician staff that process and fill prescriptions and/or sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals. Interface with physicians or other health care providers in the design of a drug treatment plan and monitors drug therapy for patients. Responsible for the monitoring, detecting, documenting, reporting, and managing of adverse drug events.
