Maintains a current procedural manual, reviewing and revising as needed. Assists personnel within assigned area in developing procedures, manuals, quality control, inventory, workload recording, etc., in accordance with the mission of the Department of Pathology and guidelines of inspecting/accrediting agencies. Performs and/or monitors routine, ASAP, and STAT tests using manual and/or instrumental techniques in accordance with established protocols. Recognizes and reacts to indicators of malfunction; locates and implements corrections. Organizes a comprehensive training plan of laboratory area to be covered.
