Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients and their newborn. Set up and operate specialized monitoring equipment (i.e., blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, fetal heart rate monitors (internal and external), neonatal resuscitation equipment, cardiac monitoring, and infant warmers). Assign duties and delegates patient care to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, operating room technicians, and medical assistants. Coordinate case management needs with the case and outcomes management team and develop nursing care plans and procedures.
