Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties within the field of the Primary Health Care. Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment. Write prescriptions, orders the administration of medications, dispenses, and prescribes controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice. Order laboratory tests, x-rays, etc., and arranges for physician consultation if required. Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients regarding treatment and medical care. Perform emergency care as appropriate.
