Duties from the announcement

Instructs patients and families in the use of such respiratory equipment for home use. Set up and monitors a variety of complex respiratory equipment such as ventilatory life support systems for the most seriously ill patients in the critical care areas (neonatal and adult ICUs). Set up, monitors and troubleshoots nitric oxide delivery systems in the neonatal ICU. Assist with the administration of surfactant in the neonates with Infant Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Receive written and verbal orders from physician objectives and independently applies appropriate protocols for continuing care for the patient.
