Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed. Receive, review, prepare, fill, and dispense physician orders for prescriptions. Enter prescriptions into outpatient computer system. Obtain the pharmaceutical, prepare package labels, and set up for review. Provide customer service to patients and staff. Take steps to rectify discrepancies as they are found. Maintain and clean assigned medication filling and dispensing stations.
