The Nursing Assistant in the Float Pool (Patient Support Service) works in a variety of health care settings such as outpatient, inpatient, home, or community living care. The incumbent for this position is responsible for caring for patients/residents with acute to chronic conditions. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Utilizing glucose monitoring machines to collect and document readings. Maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and/or significant others. Using observations skills for data collection, reporting, and recording patient/resident observations.
